Missing Ohio State football player found dead, authorities say
Kosta Karageorge, a fifth-year senior, had missed practice Wednesday and hadn't been seen since.
Sgt. Richard Weiner, with Columbus police, said that Karageorge died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His body was found inside a Dumpster and identified at the scene through tattoos, Weiner said.
A handgun was also recovered at the scene.
It was not immediately clear how long the body had been in the Dumpster, Weiner said. An investigation is ongoing.
"The Ohio State University Department of Athletics was shocked and saddened to learn today of the death of student-athlete Kosta Karageorge, a senior from Columbus.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Karageorge family, and those who knew him, during this most difficult time," the department said in a statement.Last week, Karageorge's parents told police that their son had complained about concussion symptoms before he disappeared.
In a copy of the missing persons report obtained by CNN, Susan Karageorge told police she received a text from her son about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday that said, "I am sorry if I am an embarrassment but these concussions have my head all f***ed up."
She added that her son has had several concussions and confusion "spells."Karageorge's sister, Sophia, told Cleveland.com that he was upset about something Tuesday night and that his roommates said he went for a walk.
His cell phone was last pinged about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, the sister said.

Keshi lacks coaching capacity - Oliseh
Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has said Stephen Keshi should accept the blame for Nigeria’s failure to qualify for next year’s African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, according to Vanguard
Oliseh, writing in his blog, faulted Keshi’s constant lineup changes and failure to settle on his best 11 players, a situation he claimed made them not to play as a team.
“The uncoordinated way in which Super Eagles play, which triggered our recent elimination, is borne out of the fact that there were too much line-up changes.
“When you lack ‘raw’ quality in your team, you advocate and build success via team work, team play and a regular team to compensate for what you lack in individual quality,” Sl10.ng quoted Oliseh as saying in the blog.
“It is a crime to air your opinion, give advice or suggestions on how to better the Super Eagles without the handlers throwing insults at you or crying out that you seek their job,” he added.
“They probably do this because they got the job by back stabbing; hence they fail to understand that not everyone needs or wants to coach the Super Eagles.”
“Most of us played football as kids, we all have an opinion or idea about football. This, however, leads some to think they are experts. This is not only wrong, but dangerous,” he continued.
“Should you want to be a top coach, you have to study and get yourself certified and even then you are not guaranteed success.
“Spain’s Football Federation recently banned Real Madrid’s second-team coach, Zinedine Zidane, from coaching because he doesn't have the right qualifications.
“If they can ban such a legend from coaching the second division, why should we hand over our national teams and first division clubs to people who just attended two-week seminars and pretend to be qualified?”

Central Mosque Kano bombs detonated by a strange 'white Man' - Survivor
Mallam Shehu Ahmed, currently receiving treatment at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Dala, shared his experience with Channels Television.
“I saw an uncomfortable white man enter the mosque alongside two black teenage boys who later remotely detonated the explosives in the bodies of the said boys,” he said.Other victims of the attack receiving treatment at the hospital also recounted their experience in the aftermath of the tragic incident which killed over 150 worshippers and left more than 300 injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but another victim, Sani Bello, believed the Boko Haram terrorist group was responsible for the incident that hospitalised him and his father.
Hospital official, Dr. Nura Aminu, confirmed that injuries sustained from the attack were very severe.
“There are injuries which are irreparable, which means the persons affected may likely lose their legs,” he said.
Russian health workers, patients protest against reform
Thousands of Russians protesters, including doctors and patients, have staged marches in Moscow and other cities on Sunday, criticizing the government’s plan to lay off thousands of doctors and close dozens of hospitals and clinics in the next few months.
Russian media reported that, as part of ongoing health care reform, more than 7,000 doctors could lose their jobs and 28 hospitals and clinics could be closed early next year. Protesters also demanded better wages and working conditions for doctors.
Authorities say the reforms can improve care by concentrating specialists in better hospitals, but doctors fear they are only intended to save money.
Tatyana, a doctor from Moscow, was among the protesters.
“Healthcare is falling apart, social care is falling apart, education is falling apart,” Tatyana said. “As a doctor I want to say that in the medical professions, salaries are being slashed. They (the authorities) take away all bonuses, but increase the amount of work.”
One woman, Natalya, who has a sick child, said, “I am here because these reforms do not give me a chance to get free treatment for my child anymore.”A Reuters cameraman estimated that as many as 3,000 people took part in the rare public protest, which was sanctioned by Russian authorities. Associated Press put the figure at 5,000. Moscow police told Russian news agencies that around 1,500 protesters had attended the march.
Similar protests against the reforms took place in St. Petersburg, Vladivostok and other Russian cities over the weekend, Russian news agencies reported.

One year, he married ten wives. Two of them sisters. His 39 wives say they are blessed to have him and take turns to share his bed.
It takes 30 whole chickens, peel 132lb of potatoes and boil up to 220lb of rice to make dinner for this family.
The family is organised with almost military discipline, with the oldest wife Zathiangi organising her fellow partners to perform household chores such as cleaning, washing and preparing meals.
Coincidentally, Mr Chana is said to head a sect that allows members to take as many wives as they want.
Rinkmini, one of Mr Chana's wives who is now 38 years old, said:
'We stay around him as he is the most important person in the house. He is the most handsome person in the village.
As at 2011, he said he was looking at marrying new wives to expand his family.

Mark Strand, prize-winning poet, dies in NY at 80
Strand, whose works were translated into more than 30 languages, died Saturday morning at his daughter's New York home from liposarcoma that had spread throughout his body, just weeks after entering hospice care, said his daughter, Jessica Strand.
"He was a funny, elegant, generous and brilliant man," she said of her father. "A man who lived to work and to be with his friends and the people he loved."

Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson resigns, attorney says
Darren Wilson ,28, has been on administrative leave since the Aug. 9 shooting. His resignation was announced Saturday by one of his attorneys, Neil Bruntrager. Bruntrager says the resignation is effective immediately.
Wilson's resignation letter reads:
"I, Darren Wilson, hereby resign my commission as a police officer with the City of Ferguson effective immediately. I have been told that my continued employment may put the residents and police officers of the City of Ferguson at risk, which is a circumstance that I cannot allow. For obvious reasons, I wanted to wait until the grand jury made their decision before I officially made my decision to resign. It was my hope to continue in police work, but the safety of other police officers and the community are of paramount importance to me. It is my hope that my resignation will allow the community to heal. I would like to thank all of my supporters and fellow officers throughout this process."The U.S. Justice Department is still conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting and a separate probe of police department practices.

Passengers push own plane to free it from ice in Siberia
The aircraft, a Tupolev-134 plane, was stuck because the pilot forgot to take off the parking brake, which froze up after the temperature dropped to minus 61 degrees Fahrenheit Tuesday morning, prosecutors said.
"Due to the low air temperatures, the chassis's brake system froze and a tow truck was unable to move the plane onto the taxiway to carry out the flight," they said in a statement.
"The passengers on board got out of the plane and started pushing it onto the taxiway."
