Nigerian Blessing Okagbare wins Gold in Women's 100m final in Glasgow

Sprinter Blessing Okagbare won Gold in the Women's 100m for Nigeria in the Commonwealth Games. Okagbare won in a Games record time of 10.85 seconds, relegating Jamaican duo Veronica Campbell-Brown (11.03) and Kerron Stewart (11.07) to the minor positions on the podium.

Blessing Okagbare from Nigeria has become only the second African sprinter to win the Commonwealth Games women's 100m title.

Okagbare, 25, joined countrywoman Mary Onyali (1994) as the only African women to win the blue-riband sprint at Commonwealth level.Up Nigeeriaa!!!
