Nigerian made Nano Silver for Ebola treatment fails health requirements - Health Minister

Following the U.S warning last week calling experimental drug Nanosilver a pesticide and fraudulent, now the Nigerian Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu  has favored that saying the drug, developed by a Nigerian in diaspora, has failed health requirements and will not be used on Ebola patients here in Nigeria.

The minister said this today August 18th while receiving the US Ambassador, Mr James Entwistle, in his office in Abuja.
"The experimental drug, Nano Silver did not meet the requirements of the National Health Research Ethics Code. Accordingly, the approval was withheld by the National Health Research Ethics Committee,” Chukwu said.
