Pictured/Video: Dramatic moment Ryanair plane takes off as tornado swirls behind it

This picture shows the spectacular sight of a Ryanair plane taking off with a mini tornado swirling around behind. The flight was departing East Midlands Airport on the runway for Spain and the snap was caught on camera by photographer Russ Greenwell on Thursday. Scroll down for video

The strange weather phenomenon which is also called a funnel cloud came as weather forecasters predicted the end of summer.



The flight arrived in Spain without hitch and it could be a picture that passengers would be prefer to have seen after they landed safely on the group. Video below:
