Lai Mohammed does push-ups during his visit to Bama IDP camp in Borno with Nigerian soldiers - In pictures

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed is all smiles before embarking on the exercise with the Nigerian Soldiers during parade at their headquarters in Bama, Borno state on Sunday.

Mohammed who visited the Bama camp where the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are kept, also met the Governor of the state, Kashim Shettima.

Here's what he had to share with Shettima.

"We went straight to Bama and when we got to Bama, we got firsthand information on the scale of destruction and garbage that the Boko Haram terrorists left behind,'' he said. ''I hope that with this visit, my colleagues in the media will show more understanding in reporting the efforts in the war against terrorism. We are much more informed about the horror of the war.''
