'The Voice' releases statement on Christina Grimmie's death

The Voice has responded to the death of former contestant Christina Grimmie, who passed away on Friday June 10 after being shot at her concert in Orlando, Fla.

The NBC show took to Twitter following the news of her passing to mourn the 22-year-old singer.

''There are no words. We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie,'' the account wrote.

Christina came in third place on the show’s sixth season in 2014.
