The seven-year-old allegedly opened the door of the cable car mid-air and plunged down a slope yesterday in the Stone Forest Gorge in Beijing.
The local People's Government has confirmed the authenticity of the incident and stated the boy sustained with minor fractures.
The young boy, from Tangshan, visited Stone Forest Gorge in Pinggu near Beijing with his grandparents on October 3, according to Beijing News.

The cable car system was believed to be known as Ruyi Yuan that took visitors uphill near the entrance of the park.
Other trapped visitors said they had seen a boy falling from a red cable car at the downhill route.
The boy was said to have fallen onto tree branches and was later saved by staff of the park.
The official statement confirmed the boy suffered minor fractures and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The cable car resumed its service 15 minutes later, Wang posted.
Wang also posted video that captured the moment a cable car returning to station without any passengers.
The empty red cable car, was said to be the one which the seven-year-old fell off from, as the door remained open.
'I saw an old woman crying when I arrived at the cable station down the hill, then the empty red cable car, marked with number 43, came back to the station after,' posted Wang.
