A supporter of Nigeria's president-elect Muhammadu Buhari has commenced trek from Yola in Adamawa state to Abuja yesterday
Abubakar Duduwale from Yola North local government area set out on the 705 kilometre journey from Yola gate at 6.30am.

He said he had wanted to start the journey the day after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Buhari as winner of the election but was beaten to the proposal by Suleiman Hashimu who walked from Lagos to Abuja.
''The reason why I am trekking from Yola to Abuja is to express my joy and solidarity with President -elect Muhammadu Buhari. I want to trek from Yola to Abuja to witness the inauguration ceremony of President elect,'' Duduwale said.Suleiman Hashimu a supporter of Buhari had earlier undertaken such walk from Lagos to Abuja which he concluded recently, News Agency of Nigeria recalled.
Mr Hashimu was personally received by General Buhari in Abuja at the weekend. He praised him for his support and endurance.
