The residents of Ekiti have charged the President-Elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to take security issues serious during his tenure.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday one of the respondents, Mr Sunday Daramola, urged the president-elect to do all it takes to bring back the chibok girls.
Daramola said that Buhari should take all necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of such a crime from happening again in the country.
Mrs Modupe Ojo, an artisan, and Mr Adewale Oni, a politician, said that the president-elect should use his millitary background to combat insurgency in the country.
Oni said that the major reason why people voted for him was because of the issue of insecurity in Nigeria and urged him not to let the people down.
He said that the expectations were high and urged him to strive to ensure that the country was safe for all and sundry.
