Deadly explosion hits motor park in Yola

An explosion suspected to be from an improvised Explosive Device, IED, Tuesday night hit Kasuwan Gwari along Jimeta bye-pass close to Tipper park, Jambutu, Yola, Adamawa.

Mohammed Danasabe, an witness, said the explosion which was so loud it could be heard all over the city, occurred close to the main vegetable market in the town, as traders were closing for the day and rushing home.

''I am currently at the scene and we are helping to evacuate injured to the Hospital, there are many dead bodies all over the place,'' he told newsmen.
