Openly gay Gus Kenworthy confirms he has a new boyfriend!

Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy has confirmed to the PEOPLE since coming out as gay last month that he has a new boyfriend that he is seeing, but it’s ''still new.''

When asked why he chose to come out publicly, Gus said that ''got to a point where it was really painful and it was taking a lot out of me.''

''I just wanted to get to a point where I was free – I don''t want to be ashamed of part of me, I just want to be proud of it. And I encourage that of other people,'' Gus added.
