The former president and Buhari held a closed-door meeting that lasted for 20 minutes, according to reports.
Jonathan, who spoke with state house correspondents after the meeting in Abuja yesterday, told them he was in Aso Rock to brief the president on his trips abroad as an African Union (AU) Ambassador.
On militancy in the Niger Delta, Jonathan urged the agitators to sheath their swords, adding that no one should make any attempt to balkanise Nigeria.
Jonathan said he will speak on the anti corruption war at the appropriate time because some of the issues are already in court.
