Andorra 0-2 Portugal: Super-sub Cristiano Ronaldo saves his side

Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench to rescue Portugal as they beat Andorra 2-0 to keep their dreams of automatic World Cup qualification alive.

The Real Madrid icon struck on 63 minutes before Andre Silva wrapped up the win late on as Portugal stayed three points behind Group B leaders Switzerland, who overcame Hungary 5-2 in Basel.

Portugal now require another win in their final group game -  at home to leaders Switzerland on Tuesday - in order to top the table on goal difference.

If they fail to beat Switzerland, Ronaldo and Co face a two-legged playoff.

Portugal registered nine shots during a frustrating first half, but just two tested the goalkeeper and both came from long range - from Ricardo Quaresma then Pepe.
