We'll challenge the 2015 presidential election result in court - PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to go to court to challenge the election result presented by the Independent National Electoral Commission, through its Chairman and Chief Returning Officer, Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Wednesday, 1st of April, 2015, despite its incumbent president Jonathan had conceded defeat on a brief phone call to the president-elect Muhammadu Buhari.

It would be recalled that its party agent Mr. Orubebe to the INEC Collation Center disrupted the proceeding and later Mr Bello Fadile who is also PDP's party agent refused to sign the result after other party's agent had signed theirs before the winner Buhari was announced.
"Whether I sign it (the result sheet) or I don’t sign it,  does not make any difference. It doesn't invalidate the result‎. When we go to court, then we can challenge the result,” he said.
Dr Bello spoke on the affirmative that the party would be heading to the tribunal.
"Sure! The party petitioned. Don’t forget. So the party will follow through the petition. There are rules for this. The law is there. The result was declared on the 1st of April, I think. We will follow the due process. Like the president (Jonathan) said, ‘If you have any grievances, follow due process and the due process in this instance is to go to the tribunal.”he said
