Zenith Bank to pay Super Eagles Coach, Oliseh’s salary for one year

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has revealed that Zenith Bank will pay the salary of Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, for a year.

Oliseh took over the national team in July, on a deal that ensures he reportedly earns N5million a month, a total of N60million annually.

''Zenith Bank have undertaken to pay Oliseh’s salary for a year,'' Pinnick said. ''This will take a lot of burden off the federation.''

The financial institution will also bankroll a youth development programme that will produce future Super Eagles players.

''The bank has also sponsored the country’s top referees for refresher courses in London. It’s a deal we’ll have for four years. Every year we’ll talents churned out,” Pinnick revealed while appearing as a guest on Channels Sports. We’ve been on the plan for a sustainable youth programme for over 9 months and we hope it will out-live us. Part of the deal will see Zenith bank sponsor our youth programme, pay the salary of Coach Oliseh for 1 year,” Pinnick revealed.

Cash-strapped NFF have in the past struggled to pay the national team coaches.
