Michelle throws husband Obama a star-studded birthday party

President Barack Obama turned 55 on Thursday August 4 and to celebrate his birthday, his wife Michelle threw him a star-studded party at the White House on Friday night.

Mrs Obama captioned the above Twitter photo, ''55 years young and that smile still gets me every single day. Happy birthday, Barack. I love you. -mo''

The 52-year-old American First Lady banned social media at her husband's top secret 55th birthday bash that night but celebrity guests like Nick Jonas couldn't help but share how awesome the evening was.

''Tonight was a night I will never forget. #BarackObama #happybirthday,'' Nick wrote on his Twitter after the party.

Other guests included Beyonce, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Al Roker, Magic Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hillary Clinton, and Common.

The event also featured performances from Stevie Wonder and Usher!
