Senate faults TCN on power generation

Nigerian senate committee on power on Thursday voted Transmission Company Of Nigeria, TCN, over poor electricity generation in the country.

Chairman of the committee Philippe Aduda stated this on Thursday when TCN officials appeared before the committee. Aduda advised officials to appeal to vandals. The committee also expressed worry over regular changes of TCN management staff.

In his defense, the managing director of TCN, Abubakar Atiku said the company is working hard to arrest the situation.

The committee has also issued summons to top officials in power sector to appear before the committee next Tuesday.
