Soldier opens fire on colleagues

A Tunisian soldier killed some of his comrades in a shooting at a barracks near parliament on Monday but it was not a “terrorist” attack, the interior ministry said.

''The incident which took place at the Bouchoucha barracks is not connected with a terrorist operation. There were dead and wounded in the shooting, not far from the Bardo National Museum, where jihadist gunmen killed 21 foreign tourists and a policeman in March,'' ministry spokesman Mohamed Ali Aroui told AFP.
