Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday September 13 paid Sallah visit to two former Head of States,Gen Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalam Abubakar in their country homes in Minna ,Niger State.
While the former President said his visit was a routine one to cement the cordial relationship with his senior colleagues and to build bridges across the divides, but according to reports, he was there to solicit the assistance of the two powerful former Nigerian leaders to compel President Buhari and his government to soft pedal on its war against former first lady, Patience Jonathan who has been having a running battle with anti graft agency the EFCC
.
The two former Presidents were highly regarded by the current Nigerian leader and it is being expected that, they can put in a word or two with President Buhari to shield the sword.
Dame Patience Jonathan has sued the EFCC over the seizure of over $34m belonging to her. There are rumors too that her five star hotel in Bayelsa State will also be confiscated soon.
