BREAKING NEWS: INEC Chairman Prof Attahiru Jega declares Buhari winner of the 2015 presidential election

INEC Chairman Prof Attahiru Jega has declared APC Presidential Candidate General (rtd) Muhammadu Buhari winner and returned elected of the just concluded 2015 presidential election in Nigeria.

President-elect Buhari defeated incumbent president with a total votes of 15, 424, 921 whereas Mr Jonathan has a total votes of 12, 853, 162

Buhari narrowly leads Jonathan with a total votes of  2, 571, 759.

The president-elect Buhari won 21 states while Mr Jonathan won 15 states plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In all Nigeria has 36 states plus the FCT which makes it 37.
