Missing Indonesian plane with 54 passengers aboard found

Missing Indonesian plane with 54 passengers aboard has been found, villagers in eastern Indonesia's Papua region told authorities that they saw a plane crash into a mountain.

"The plane has been found [by villagers]. According to residents, the flight had crashed into a mountain. Verification is still in process," said the transport ministry's director-general of air transportation, Suprasetyo, who goes by one name.

Scores of rescuers were heading to the remote area and will begin searching there Monday morning.
