Chelsea have completed the signing of Jamaican defender Michael Hector for a £4m deal from Reading on a five-year contract but he will stay at Reading for the remainder of the season on loan at the Madejski Stadium.
The 23-year-old center-back will join the Nantes defender, Papy Djilobodji, in moving to Blues on the final day of the transfer window.
Hector, who captained Reading for the first time last week, has represented Jamaica at international level and started all three of their matches at this summer’s Copa America.
