The 43-year-old former Barcelona star and one-time Ballon d'Or winner retired in the summer after playing for Brazilian side Mogi Mirim, where he is now club president.
''After these two days already admitted I'm home. I would like to first thank God because without Him we are nothing , Dr Joaquim Grava and his entire staff for the care and dedication and Hospital St. Louis and nurses for looking after me so warmly,'' he said. ''Thanks to everyone who prayed for me , who sent messages. God bless you guys greatly. God is faithful.''
