Hilarious video of Buckingham Palace Guardsman Dance And Walks Silly !

For one guardsman, the monotony of walking back and forth outside the Queen's London residence just got too much.

A video uploaded  posted on YouTube last month shows a Grenadier guard spinning around as he walks outside Buckingham Palace. The guard also mixes up his actual strut, at times marching in slow motion and even with a slight jig. At one point he bends down to pick something up off the floor.

The performance receives a favourably reaction from the crowd, with some no doubt astonished by the guard's playfulness. At the beginning of the video one onlooker remarks, "Have you seen them do that before?" One young child responds, "It's just that one, he's messing around a bit. He's turning round...getting a bit weird."

The video was uploaded by Paul Richards who wrote, "A Buckingham Palace guardsman misbehaves on duty while The Queen is on holiday. His senior officer might be having a chat with him later..."

Indeed, the Ministry of Defence said last night that it is now investigating the matter. A spokeswoman told the MailOnline: "Anyone who is found to fall short of the Army’s high standards can expect to face appropriate action."

The video was uploaded on 20 August when the Queen was at her residence in Balmoral in Scotland.

The Grenadier Guards are the most senior regiment of the Guards Division

Viewers of the video on YouTube were divided on the guard's actions. Some former members of the army were particularly outraged at the stunt while other saw it in a funnier light.

One individual wrote, "This is a Grenadier Guardsman making a mockery of the uniform, the regiment and comrades," while another responded, "I'm an ex squad. Was never in the guards, but I think its great. Entertaining for the crowd too. He not (sic) rude or disrespectful, you cannot question his soldiering skills over the matter that he has a sense of humour."
