Tragic girlfriend threw herself in front of train weeks after 'soulmate's' death

Becky Tait, 20, was left traumatised by the death of her “soul mate” Phil James, an inquest heard.

The care assistant had already attempted suicide by taking an overdose just one month after the death of Phil, a devoted Robbie Williams fan, on September 7 last year.

She was rushed to hospital and discharged by psychiatric staff five days later, despite saying she “couldn’t cope”.

But just weeks later, she was hit by a speeding locomotive on the same stretch of tracks where boyfriend Phil James, 19, died.

Tragic Becky was pronounced dead at Stone Railway Station in Staffs after suffering multiple injuries.
