At least five people have been killed after a car bomb went off outside the presidential palace in the southern Yemeni city of Aden, Aljazeera reports.
A local official said six people were also wounded in Thursday's blast that left mostly security guards dead.
The explosion happened as a suicide car bomber rammed into cement blocks that protect the gate of the palace in the Masheeq area.
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi recently returned to Aden from exile in Saudi Arabia. He fled the city last year as Houthi rebels and allied forces closed in on the city.
