Barrow thanks Senegal's president Sall for hospitality as new president returns home

Gambia's new President Adama Barrow says he will return to the capital Banjul on Thursday (January 26) to assume power, days after long-standing ruler  Yahya Jammeh left.

Barrow, who has been staying in neighboring Senegal, thanked the president Macky Sall for his hospitality.

''I will be returning to Gambia today. I shall thank President @Macky_Sall for his hospitality,'' he said.
