Obi of Ubulu Uku Kingdom becomes youngest Monarch in Nigeria - Here's what you didn't know [PHOTOS]

Following the murder of the king of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom in Delta State, Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III, his 15-year-old son Chukwuka Noah Akaeze I, has been installed as the new King of the area. His presentation followed the fulfillment of different traditional rites that culminated in his crowning as King by the king makers of Ubulu-Uku. He was first presented to the members of the Royal Family before a presentation to the Council of Elders at the palace.

His father, Late Akaeze Edward Ofulue III was kidnapped on 5 January 2016 along Igbodo-Obior road in Delta State for a ransom of N100 million. His decomposed body was discovered at Umunede, Ika North East LG 15 days later. There are speculations that suspected Fulani herdsmen murdered him.

However, it is worthy to note that Obi Akaeze The First is not the youngest monarch to be crowned King in Delta state. This is because the Dein of the Agbor Kingdom was only two years and four months when he was crowned king. Here’s what you didn’t know:

Chukwuka is still in secondary school in the United Kingdom (UK).

He has four siblings.

He will not be ruling the kingdom now because he is still in school and will be away for a few years. However, he is set to return to Nigeria to assume his throne when he is 20 or 21-years old.

His uncle, Anthony Ofulue, who resides in Leeds, UK, will act as Regent until Obi Chukwuka returns.

He has currently gone back to the UK and would return in July for his coronation
