Jonathan completes his duties as leader of AUEMM in Zambia's general election

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan delivers the preliminary report of observation  on August 13 after completing his duties as the leader of the African Union Election Monitoring Mission to Zambia's August 11 polls.

''I'd like to congratulate  the people of Zambia for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the general elections and wish them continued success,'' he said on Twitter few hours ago.

''Completed my duties in Zambia by delivering the preliminary report of observation along with other heads of mission. Then I visited the Election Results Center to inquire about the progress and raise some concerns from the field,'' Jonathan continued in another post.

He added, ''Finally, I paid a courstesy call on my brothher and friend, former Zambian President Rupiah Banda and his family.''

The General elections were held in Zambia on 11 Thursday  August 2016 to elect the President and National Assembly
