Musiliu Obanikoro concedes defeat, to return as minister of state for defence

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has accepted the result of the December 8 2014 Lagos PDP gubernatorial primary which returned Jimi Agbaje as winner. This will enable him to return to his former post as Minister of State for Defence, an office he relinquished to contest the gubernatorial election in Lagos State.

Consequently, Obanikoro is to withdraw the case he instituted in court challenging the outcome of the gubernatorial primaries.

Obanikoro’s return to office as Minister of State for Defence does not require any screening by the National assembly, since according to impeccable source, he was deemed to have gone on leave.

His return may be announced anytime from today.
