Mexican drug lord 'El Chapo' escapes from prison again

Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, breaks out of a maximum security prison for the second via a 1,600 yard tunnel dug under his shower cell on Saturday night July 11, Mexico's top security official said.

The 56-year-old Mexican drug lord was last seen on video using the shower area at the Altiplano prison in Almoloya de Juarez around 9 p.m. Saturday, then disappeared, the National Security Commission said in a statement. An alert was triggered when prison guards found his cell empty. Prison workers were quickly detained over the escape.

Guzman had bribed his way out of prison during an escape in 2001.
