Buhari’s meeting with warring APC Reps members ends in deadlock

The meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the All Progressives Congress in the House of Representatives on Monday ended in deadlock as efforts to resolve the leadership crisis rocking the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly hit the rocks.

It was gathered that at the end of the meeting, which lasted about 20 minutes, members of the two factions in the House refused to shake ground.

The two factional groups refused to end the protracted power tussle.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the meeting, a former Minority Leader, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, said the meeting anchored on party supremacy.

He added that before the end of the day, Nigerians would be briefed on the decision reached.

“We are still talking and this is the first time that the two camps will be sitting together as one family in an atmosphere of camaraderie,” he said.

However, the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said the party would have a good news for Nigerians by tomorrow.
