NEMA confirms 44 dead, 48 injured in twin bomb explosions night in Jos

The number of deaths in the Jos twin bomb blasts on Sunday night July 5 has been put at 44 while 48 others are badly injured, and are currently hospitalized in various hospitals in the Plateau state capital.

The Director in charge of the North-Central zone of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mohammed Abdulsalam confirmed the development to journalists via telephone today Monday morning July 6.

However, the Plateau state government is denying the claims insisted only 18 people died in the incidents, with 18 others injured.
