Following the death of her husband René Angélil on Thursday after a long battle with throat cancer, Celine Dion has cancelled a few of her Las Vegas shows.
"With heavy hearts, we regret to inform you that Celine performances Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace have been cancelled," a statement on the 47-year-old entertainer's official website read. "Celine earlier today announced the death of her husband Rene Angelil after a long fight with cancer. The couple had celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary last month."
Dion will return to The Colosseum on Feb. 23.
Dion and Angélil had been married since 1994. They have three sons. He was 73
