Mass Defection: 6000 dump PDP for APC in Niger

No fewer than 6000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lapai Local Government Area of the state as countdown to the local government elections in Niger State begins.

The former PDP members shifted political party at a rally addressed by the state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and other chieftains of the APC on Sunday evening.

Receiving the decampees, Bello commended them for abandoning the PDP which he said had not contributed to the development of the state and Nigeria.
