Sammie arrived Nigeria on Thursday, January 7, 2016, after undergoing chemotherapy for about two years in the United States of America.
In a telephone conversation with E24-7Magazine on Saturday, January 9 Sammie said: ''My God took control. He reversed my ugly situations and made me beautiful again. To God I give adoration and honour. It is only God that I will serve because He has made me whole again. I thank all well-meaning Nigerians and the ever supportive Nigerian media for their prayers and good wishes via my Facebook wall. It shall be well with you all.''
She returned to Nigeria in the company of her husband, Sir Shina Peters and son Clinton.
