Ooni of Ife , Alayeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade dies in London at age 85

Nigerian prominent ruler, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade has died in a London hospital on Tuesday 28 2015 after he was rushed to the UK last week. He was 85!

The late ruler was born 1 January 1930

Oba Sijuwade was the fifth Ooni of Ife. He climbed unto the throne on December 6, 1980.

Before he became an Oba, he studied at Abeokuta Grammar School and later at Northampton College in the United Kingdom before he became a manager at Leventis stores.
