The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina who spoke to journalists on Saturday August 21 in an interview in his home town, Ipetumodu, in Osun State, after a reception in his honor, says president Buhari is working towards ending Boko Haram insurgency in the country 'soon just as he promised'.
''The end to Boko Haram insurgency is imminent,'' Adesina told journalists. ''The president is working assiduously to achieve that soon just as he promised. The President has said the deadline to defeat Boko Haram is December this year. The President made a promise in July that Boko Haram would be defeated in 18 months now he has changed it to December this year. He is the commander in chief and he has a wider view of the whole thing.''
