Has 2016 BUDGET really gone missing from National Assembly?

The proposed budget for 2016 which President Buhari personally submitted to the National Assembly on Tuesday December 22, 2015 has reportedly gone missing, according to YNaija  citing Daily Trust.

According to the publication, the news of the missing budget was purportedly announced on Tuesday, January 12, in a closed door session that lasted for about 90 minutes.

A week after the budget was submitted to the National Assembly, news of its withdrawal by the Presidency, emerged.

The grapevine suggested that owing to the massive critical reviews of the budget, the federal government secretly retrieved it for modification.

The senators were today, meant to begin discussion and consideration of the N6.08 trillion budget submitted by the president.

However, that proved to be impossible after the budget was allegedly declared missing by Senate Leader, Ali Ndume.

Daily Trust reported that the news of the missing budget proposal was disemminated by Ndume during a closed door session.
