INEC: Gov Fashola and his wife presented with another temporary Voter’s Card after re-registration

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Saturday re-registered, alongside his wife, Dame Abimbola Fashola, for card to be used in the 2015 general elections after Mr Fashola and his wife could not obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card when INEC commenced the staggered distribution in Surulere Local Government last week.

After receiving his card , Fashola urged all lagosians who have not registered to go out and do so, irrespective of challenges being experienced in the process.
“All I will say is that, no matter how difficult they make this, your love for democracy must be bigger than your inconvenience,” the governor said.
Displaying both cards, Fashola noted that there is no difference between the Temporary Voter’s Card he collected in 2011 and the one INEC has just issued to him now. “This is the card they gave me in 2011. This is the one they have given me again, so I still do not see the difference,” he said.
