As part of president Goodluck Jonathan's transformation agenda, the Enugu-Portharcourt-Enugu intercity Train Service was flagged off by VP Arc. Namadi Sambo yesterday, December 23 2014. A system, Reuben Abati, Presidential Spokesman/Special Adviser on Media & Publicity said was in ''comatose'' but now has taken a new shape.
''Before President Jonathan our railways were all comatose but now most have been rehabilitated and functional as new modern, world class high speed ones now in motion.''
