APC members can not escape justice - Buhari tells Amanpour

Muhammadu Buhari pictured right in an exclusive interview with Journalist Christiane Amanpour on CNN Tuesday July 21, while in the US on a four-day official visit.

The 72-year-old Nigerian president reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption and also revealed to the 57-year-old Chief International Correspondent for CNN that his party 'All Progressives Congress' members will be jailed too if they are found corrupt.
"I can be held to my promises for the next years ahead of me,'' Buhari told  Amanpour. ''No body can escape justice, even member of my political party. Justice is Justice be it in Africa or another part of the world, if the ICC have evidence against Hissene Habre. My people firstly want security and return to normal life in the North and the South of Nigeria. Nothing will work in Nigeria until we secure every inch of our territory. We will work with the multinational joint task force to tackle insecurity & also human rights abuse. We have to be very careful about the credibility of those claiming to say they can deliver the Chibok girls. Our main objective as a government is to #BringBackOurGirls so they can return to normal life, safely''
