President Muhammadu Buhari met with some Permanent Secretaries who briefed him on their activities.
The briefing clarified certain issues contained in the handing over notes which President Buhari received from the previous administration.
At the end of the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Anastasia Daniel Nwobi, spoke with State House Correspondent on the state of the country’s finances.
Mrs. Daniel Nwobi also explained that President Buhari told them his expectations, in which he stressed the need for prudent management of the country’s resources.
She also spoke on the subsidy payment.
The Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, said the Excess Crude Account he inherited was over one point five billion dollars, which would be distributed among all the three tiers of governments.
The briefings by the Permanent Secretaries of other Ministries will continue, Radio Nigeria State House Correspondent reported.
