The 26-year-old singer was in town to perform a concert that had to be rescheduled from New Year’s Eve.
Chris was set to leave Manila on Tuesday night following the show and he was barred from leaving due to fraud allegations against him for canceling last year’s show.
''It was a misunderstanding that has since been cleared up,'' Chris‘ rep told the AP about the situation on Wednesday. ''Chris leaves tomorrow for Hong Kong to continue his planned performances.''
It seemed like Chris was still in Manila on Thursday though when he posted a video to Instagram that showed him begging Obama for help. The video has since been deleted.
''I have nothing to do with anything going on right now. I came back to Manila to do a make up show for New Years. I did the show 3 days ago,'' Chris tweeted on Friday morning. ''This is a very serious situation and someone needs to be held accountable for mixing my name up in all this. I’ve done nothing wrong!!!''
