BREAKING NEWS: U.S. records first Ebola death, Thomas Eric Duncan

Texan hospital officials have confirmed that Thomas Eric Duncan has died from Ebola. Duncan was the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the US and had been receiving treatment at a Texas hospital. He arrived in Dallas last month on a plane from Liberia to visit his family.

Duncan contracted the virus in Liberia before flying to Texas.
