The death toll has climbed to 4,877, and the number of cases has reached 9,936, as of October 19.Those numbers were reported from Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Spain and the United States.
Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea are the worst hit by the disease and still have insufficient medical facilities to handle the outbreak, the international body said.
The outbreak has been described as the worst ever recorded by the WHO and it has said that there are too few firm commitments of help from foreign medical teams.
