Real Madrid beats Barcelona 3-1 to win first 2014 El Clásico

Real Madrid has won the first 2014 El Clásico of the season against their mean opponents Barcelona 3-1 at the Bernabéu. Neymar gave Barca a lead less than four minutes in, but a penalty before halftime allowed Madrid to pull even and they overwhelmed the Blaugrana in the second half. Pepe and Karim Benzema helped themselves to goals to conclude the game.    

The result marks Barcelona’s first defeat in La Liga and their first goal(s) conceded.
