Ondo State Erupts In Jubilation Over Jegede's reinstatement - PHOTOS!

Akure, the Ondo State capital and other towns in the State were on Wednesday afternoon erupted in wild jubilation as the news of the verdict of the Court of Appeal reinstating Eyitayo Jegede as the candidate of the PDP hit town.

Wild jubilation were noticed at areas like Alagbaka, Oba Adesida and many other places in the town. Women trooped out in their hundreds jubilating over the verdict. Some made their way to the INEC office in Akure and from there to the PDP Secretariat.

As at the time of filing in this report most offices and shops have been closed as people continue to celebrate the verdict. The candidate of the PDP has not been sighted, neither the governor .CKN news attempt to reach the State Commissioner of Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade has not been successful as his telephone has remained consistently busy..

But our check revealed that Eyitayo's campaign which has remained in the doldrum has been revived. We were authoritatively informed that the PDP candidate will within the next two days both day and night visit and campaign in all the Local Government Areas in the State in order to gain lost ground.

The battle is now between three candidates who are the front runners. Olusola Oke of AD (who is rumored to be backed by Bola Ahmed Tinubu), Rotimi Akeredolu of APC and Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP..
