A boat conveying fourteen school children capsized on its way from Ojo to Irewa, Lagos, on Wednesday July 1.
Six children were drowned in the accident while eight were rescued alive. The boat capsized after a speed boat overtook it, causing a huge wave that upturned the boat conveying the children, according to the South-west spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed this to newsmen.
