James Holmes has been found guilty of murder on Thursday for his Colorado movie theater shooting he committed in 2012.
The 27-year-old former neuroscience graduate student killed 12 people and injured 72, is eligible for the death penalty for his crimes.
The jurors, who deliberated over two days for about 13 hours, will be the ones to decide on Holme's fate.
While prosecutors showed that Holmes had been planning the attack for months, his lawyers argued that he was mentally ill and unable to tell right from wrong.
